Life Skills Development

Practical learning, at your pace — building the everyday skills that grow independence and confidence.

About This Service

Skills that open up everyday life

Life skills development is about turning goals into capability. Whether it's catching the bus, paying bills, cooking dinner, applying for jobs, or managing relationships — we work with you on the skills that matter most.

Our approach is patient, hands-on, and judgement-free. We teach by doing, in real environments, so the learning sticks.

What we can support

  • Money management, budgeting, and banking
  • Cooking, meal planning, and food safety
  • Personal organisation and time management
  • Communication and social skills
  • Travel, navigation, and safety in the community
  • Pre-employment skills, job-search, and workplace readiness

Who it’s for

Life skills development suits NDIS participants who want to grow independence — at any stage of life. Often funded under Improved Daily Living capacity-building supports.

What To Expect

How we teach

1

Real-world

We learn in real environments — kitchens, shops, transport, workplaces.

2

At your pace

Sessions move only as fast as you're comfortable, with plenty of repetition where helpful.

3

Goal-led

Each session connects back to a goal in your NDIS plan.

4

Hands-on

Less talking, more doing — that's how skills become habits.

5

Supportive

Mistakes are part of learning. We celebrate progress, not perfection.

6

Tracking growth

Regular reviews to show how far you have come.
